AML/CTF Policy of SKYBORN LTD
Our Money Laundering and Terrorist Finance Prevention Policy
It is the policy of SKYBORN LTD to prohibit and actively prevent money laundering, and any activity that facilitates money laundering or the funding of terrorist or criminal activities.
These Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) policies, procedures, and internal controls are intended to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
The AML program of https://star.gg is designed to comply with:
- Belize: Money Laundering and Terrorism (Prevention) Act, Chapter 104 of the Substantive Laws of Belize, Revised Edition 2011
- European Union (EU): Directive (EU) 2015/849 and Directive (EU) 2018/843 on the prevention of the use of the financial system for money laundering or terrorist financing
- Cyprus: The Prevention and Suppression of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Laws of 2007–2019
- Sanctions regimes: measures imposed by the United Nations (UN), European Union (EU), United States Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and the UK Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI), as applicable
Operating Rules
- STAR.GG does not accept cash purchases or cash redemptions in any cases.
- STAR.GG does not permit refunds.
- STAR.GG does not accept any third parties' purchases on the user's account, joint or shared accounts, or account management on behalf of others.
- STAR.GG does not allow any exceptions in the field of documentation required from users.
- STAR.GG does not allow peer-to-peer transfers.
- STAR.GG reserves the right to refuse to process any transaction at any time, in case of suspicion of AML/CTF risk.
In accordance with international law, we are not obliged (and may be prohibited) from informing clients if we report their activity as suspicious to relevant authorities.
Customer Due Diligence (CDD) & Know-Your-Customer (KYC)
STAR.GG has established standards for CDD and KYC. We make reasonable efforts to verify customer identity, including enhanced requirements when appropriate.
This includes:
- Ongoing monitoring of customer activity, not just at onboarding.
- The right to deny access if proof of identity or ownership is insufficient.
- Reporting any suspicious or fraudulent activity to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).
Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)
We apply additional checks on:
- Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), their relatives, and close associates.
- Persons from high-risk jurisdictions as defined by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
- Customers who display red-flag behaviors.
EDD may include requiring:
- Government-issued ID (passport, ID card)
- Proof of address
- Source of funds and wealth documentation
If the customer refuses, provides misleading information, or is linked to unlawful activity, SKYBORN LTD will deny or close the account, and report as required.
Prohibited Activities
By establishing an account with SKYBORN LTD, users agree that:
- All information provided is true, accurate, and complete.
- They will not use the service for illegal purposes, including but not limited to:
- Conversion or transfer of criminal proceeds
- Concealment of the origin of illicit assets
- Assisting others in evading legal consequences
- Acquisition, possession, or use of property derived from criminal activity
- Any participation in or facilitation of these acts
STAR.GG may disclose account activity to regulators or law enforcement if:
- We are required by law, or
- We believe disclosure may assist in the prevention of fraud, money laundering, or terrorist financing.
